Recently, we've seen numerous leaks about Apple's upcoming smart glasses, with the latest surfacing today.
According to the most recent reports, Apple is developing a custom chip specifically for its upcoming smart glasses, which were initially rumored to launch in 2027.
However, new leaks from renowned journalist Mark Gurman suggest that development is progressing smoothly, and Apple has moved the release date up to late 2026 instead of 2027.
Introducing Apple Vision Pro
Mark Gurman also noted that the Apple smart glasses will feature cameras, microphones, and speakers, and will support a wide range of advanced functions, including:
Making phone calls
Playing music
Live translation
Detailed turn-by-turn navigation
Multimodal AI, which Apple is reportedly branding as “Visual Intelligence”
This indicates that the glasses will be a hybrid of a communication device, smart assistant, and AR tool, directly competing with products like Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses.
